Key Responsibilities & Job Duties Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits Stock, rotate, and face produce to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure an appealing presentation Build and maintain full, attractive displays that highlight product quality and promote sales Inspect products for freshness and remove damaged or spoiled items to uphold quality standards Assist guests with product selection, answering questions about varieties, ripeness, and handling Cut, prepare, and package fresh produce items following food safety and merchandising standards Develop and maintain knowledge of produce items, including seasonality, pricing, and location Ensure accurate signage, labeling, and pricing Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to support product availability and reduce shrink Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including prep areas and sales floor Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards Operate scales, scanners, and related equipment accurately Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient department operations Collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest hospitality goals Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures Participate in required trainings and continuous learning opportunities Remain productive during slower periods by culling, trimming, cleaning, or restocking Other job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, food service, or produce environments
