The Warehouse Teammate supports the Warehouse Manager for materials management, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. This position entails direct receiving, shipping and inventory distribution operations. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Fundamentals of the Position
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and all other food safety and quality requirements.
- Supports the compliance of food safety regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Complies with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) requirements.
- Assists with materials management, inventory control, and shipping/receiving.
- Supports control of inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains superior quality level of all inventories.
- Be proficient in safely operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Completes and maintains department documentation as required by local, state, and regulatory agencies, and Tippin's Food Safety and Quality standards.
- Assists in the safe operation of all company equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Supports warehouse for compliance with company's policies, procedures, and vision; Reporting needed changes.
- Setup, layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Verifies shipping and receiving items, and maintains inventory and software, reporting and adjusted needed changes.
- Reports food safety, food defense, food threats, and/or quality issues to QA immediately.
- Monitors food safety and quality programs ensuring procedures and specifications are achieved and take appropriate actions in the event of a deviation, as assigned.
- Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
- Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
- Develops and maintain positive, effective working relationships to accomplish tasks.
- "Hands on" loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in similar role, preferably within the food industry
- Organization skills - achieves neat and clean warehouse operational areas.
- Possess verbal and written communication skills.
- Oral communication - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; responds well to questions.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work.
- Must be able to stand and/or exert well-pace mobility for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, capable of multitasking.
- Capable of using equipment safely and responsibly.

Work Environment (Physical Conditions, Sensory Attentions, etc.)
- Works in a food manufacturing environment. Exposed to typical elements; flour dust, moderate noise, temperature extremes (oven room, freezers, coolers etc.).
- Exposure to various major allergens as defined by the FDA.
- The job entails sitting at a desk, driving a forklift and walking many hours a day.
